We are all parents of QCSD students across the district. We want our schools to be the best for all the children in the community. We are committed to being transparent, and will be thoughtful about the impact our decisions as a Board have on the entire community. We all care deeply about this community and we want to work together to make our district great!
I am a small business owner in Quakertown. My husband and I decided to settle in Quakertown after graduating from Lehigh University, with the goal of raising a family within a quality school district. I love being involved in the community. I serve on the events committee with Quakertown Alive and volunteer at the Quakertown ReStore.
I hold a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. I am passionate about STEM and Music/Art education and want to ensure students are presented with equal opportunities for both.
My husband and I have two children, one currently attending 5th grade in QCSD and one who will be starting kindergarten next year. A priority for me is that my children find a sense of community and belonging in school while receiving an excellent education. I believe that keeping class sizes small is an important factor to achieving that.
I also believe it is important to get new ideas and fresh perspectives on the school board. As a mother, I can bring a new voice to the board. Term limits for school board members will help ensure there is always an opportunity for new faces on the board.
I am committed to listening and working to find the best solutions for all our children and our community. Great schools and great communities go hand in hand and I want to make sure everyone in our community feels like they have a voice and provide a forum where everyone feels comfortable to share.
I graduated from Quakertown Community High School in 1997. After marrying my wife Heather in 2008, we decided to move back to the area where I grew up. In 2011, we bought a home in Richland Township, where I spent my childhood. We are happy to raise our family here and are excited to see the community continue to grow.
When I was a student in Quakertown, I enjoyed being part of the arts programs, especially musicals and choir trips to Canada. These experiences helped me love the arts and taught me the importance of community and creativity. I love learning new things and always ask for help when I need it, believing that working together and growing are essential to success.
Before starting a small internet business, I worked for nearly 20 years as a Designer and Typesetter at a local print shop. I built strong relationships with my clients during that time.
I have always wanted to give back to our community. As a teenager, I volunteered at K.I.D.S. CAMP, a popular summer camp for children. As an adult, I joined the HOA Board of Directors to help improve our neighborhood's finances and build strong relationships among residents.
Outside of work and community activities, I am a proud parent of a 6th-grade son who loves technology and dreams of studying science in college. Heather and I support his passion and encourage him in his studies. Today, we balance our internet business with our efforts to positively impact our community.
I grew up in Milford Township and I am a proud QCSD alumnae. I received my Master's in Library Science from Kutztown University and am a teacher librarian in a middle school. I live in Trumbauersville with my husband and we have two children enrolled in the district.
The QCSD mission statement is that we focus on preparing students for post secondary education, careers, and to be engaged citizens. I strongly believe we must educate the whole child to achieve these goals! When our students don't feel safe, they cannot learn. We need to make our students feel safe, welcome and supported. We must ensure their needs are met academically and with access to programs such as sports, the arts, and other extracurriculars.
As a QCSD graduate, a mother, and an educator, I will be a new voice on the board. I decided to run for School Board after recent events in neighboring districts and within our own. I feel we need to bring different perspectives and ideas to the table to meet the challenges our district faces. We need leadership to focus on our students first and ensure we are educating the whole student - socially, emotionally, and academically in order for our students to achieve.
I am a highly experienced professional with a B.S. in Management Science and Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University and a Project Management Professional certification. My career, which began as a program developer at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, has evolved into over two decades of consulting, guiding businesses of all sizes—from Fortune 500 companies to small enterprises—to implement technical change successfully. I excel in effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and navigating complex issues.
I became actively engaged in Quakertown Community School District affairs following the 2016 Facilities Study and the subsequent Tohickon Valley Redistricting Committee meetings. As a member of the 2021 Redistricting Committee, I gained valuable insight into the workings of the school district. I have witnessed the challenges educators face, thanks to my upbringing as the daughter of a teacher. As a parent myself, I am passionate about improving educational opportunities, enhancing school safety, and addressing the evolving needs of students.
I have resided in Quakertown for over 20 years with my husband, Jeff, and our son, who currently attends Strayer Middle School. In my free time, I enjoy reading, being a Parental Uber, and taking Taekwondo with my family.
